Re-cycling
Hello, this is probably a stupid question but I've read the walkthrough help about recycling to get better units with high ranking ones, but I don't understand. I can only re-cycle commanders, not regular units. How can I recycle a unit to use it's high rank, to use on a better unit, if it only re-cycles commanders? As the recycle option is only available with a commander?
Thanks
Thanks

Re: Re-cycling
Recycling gives you back half of that's unit cost.
It also stores it's expirience. That expirience is used on next produced unit.
That is for EVERY unit.

Ok I understand that, but how do I do this as it just recycles the commander, not any units attached, or a single unit on it's own?

Re: Re-cycling
You can recycle any unit. You get its orders menu (the menu that will have the recycle button) by right-clicking it, or clicking it and pressing NUM-0.

That'll be a little problem on the old 'right click' method, as it's a mac I'm using! Any ideas?

Re: Re-cycling
Erm, what are you talking about? All Mac laptops made in the last like six years have left-click built-in (two-finger tap, or hold two fingers and click), and all Mac desktops made in the last six years come with mice that support right-click.
Or you could just Cmd+click. Or you could plug in an external mouse.
And did you see that you can also use NUM-0? And if you don't have a numpad, you can go into Options -> Keyboard Options and set it to a button you can use.
Are you telling you can't do any of the seven above options?

Re: Re-cycling
Well, thanks but I don't need the sarcasm, I'm good at that already thanks! My mac must be older than 6 years. Mouse doesn't support any left/right up /down click, it's just a mouse. Cmd and click doesn't do it, num o is not on my keyboard and when I go to the options screen there is no choice of keyboard options, just volume of effects and similar. I'm using 2.0.5 version, on osx tiger, I've tried later versions but none want to work, this is the latest version that does work, so yes I am saying that none of the seven options work, maybe I'll go and get another mouse.
Thanks anyway.
Thanks anyway.

We have two menus called "Options", the in-game one is basically useless (and should be renamed to "Volume Settings" or something), the one with the keyboard settings is in the main menu.

Re: Re-cycling
There was no sarcasm in my previous post at all, just sincere disbelief that you would use "I have a Mac" as a reason not to know how to use right-click, or further to ignore the other suggestion in my post.adzm124 wrote:Well, thanks but I don't need the sarcasm, I'm good at that already thanks!
Hrm. Six years might be a bit of an exaggeration, but that's definitely a pretty old Mac. By NUM-0, I mean the 0 (zero) button on the numeric keypad; as far as I remember, any Mac that comes with a single-button mouse should have a numeric keypad. Please note that if you have a Mighty Mouse, you can set it to two-button mode in System Preferences. As Cybersphinx mentions, I'm talking about the Options menu in the Main Menu, not the one in the Esc menu. I'll go rename that menu, so no one ever gets confused about that again...adzm124 wrote:My mac must be older than 6 years. Mouse doesn't support any left/right up /down click, it's just a mouse. Have you tried the latest 2.3 beta 3? :/ What specific problems do you have with running Warzone on OS X 10.4?

Re: Re-cycling
Thankyou, it's ctrl and r on mine - works great. As for running later versions, After downloading they just won't open, the logo appears in the dock then leaves again. I've downloaded the beta version you suggested, and it does the same. I've got x11 off the install dvd but it won't open any of the 9 files included. I must confess, I know nothing whatsoever about the workings of software llike this, as my experience is of illustrator etc so help is gladly appreciated.
Thanks
