This just happened but besides the network problem on my part, why did it freeze up?

Multiplayer game crashes 2.2.4 (Mac Leopard 10.5.8) Updated
It crashes just a few minutes after the multiplayer game starts. I really haven't played online much so its kinda frustrating that when I start playing it crashes. The only report I have is the Apple Crash report which I attached. All help appreciated.

Time to upgrade - either to 2.2.4 or the latest greatest beta version 2.3 beta 3.
