The palette code is prepared for changing through mods, but not quite done yet. It would probably only take me an hour to finish this and make game colours mod configurable for the next release, if people want it. Let me know.

If it's not going to take too much time, this would be very nice - I, personally, like to change GUI to grey tones, so that it doesn't draw my attention unecessarily.
We are talking about all the blue-colored menus, right?
I vote for implementing this code - simple & good.

Nah, I bet this would cause too much fuss: People complaining about someone using undistinguishable colors, I can already see.
This can, however, be easily mod-able as soon as the teamcolor masks are working: Then we'd only need to change the mask's color and the game does the blending - need to check on that, I'm not the most "sure" person around here

Why mask? The blue menus are drawn directly; not rendered from images.

I personally think that Tron is the way to go with in-game/ GUI colouring:
- Player buildings would include at least one rim round the circumference of the building which would be player coloured
- GUI menus would be a darkened version of team colour (to promote contrast with information on screen) with an outer rim running within the edge of this darker colour representing team colour.
I support the team-color menu idea. It would be kind of neat to change menu colors with a mod as well, then each modder could use a different color ...
In general, if you see glowing, pulsating things in the game, you should click on them.

Why stop at colors, start doing themes with full cursor changes as well!
Then people can upload .wzt files so others can use them *instead* of "mod" files. *hides from Per*

That's an interesting idea, I'd love to make a custom theme for Art Revolution, for example!
