BecomePrey 2.92 + WZ 2.2.3 issue

Post by WZWanderer »

Would someone knowledgeable about mods kindly take a look at this post in the Become Prey thread?

Sry for double post but it's been a few days with no response.

Might become a moot issue as I am about to go try 2.2.4, but... any info would be appreciated! Thank you! :D

Re: Beyond Prey 2.92 + WZ 2.2.3 issue

Sorry, I don't know much about the issue (which is why I didn't reply originally).

I can tell you that the --mod and --mod_mp switches don't make any difference when playing multiplayer. The only difference is that the --mod switch will load the mod in both campaign and MP, which means if you try to load campaign after using the --mod switch, most mods will crash it (BP is an exception - as a pure AI mod, it doesn't affect campaign at all).

Edit: Oh, and, it's spelled "BecomePrey". ;)

Ha! I was just making a new shortcut and caught myself naming it wrongly. I thought "have I been making this Freudian slip in my forum posts as well?" I came back to correct it, but you caught me! :D

As for the issue itself, well.... I'm about to try w/ 2.2.4 and see if that makes any magical difference. The fact about the command line switches is helpful in itself, as now I at least know that's a non-issue. Thanks! :)

Edit: I guess the next most useful piece of information to me would be: am I the only one having this problem? So... if there are any other BP comp-stomp fans out there who have experience with this specific set up, please share! TY!!
