Skirmish 8 players : alone against the world

Hi,

I spend some time playing skirmish with alliances ON. I didn't find a way to make an alliance with a computer AI (don't kown if it's possible). Usually all AI make an alliance against me. I like it since it forces me to build quickly a strong defense. I begin usually with T3 tech, difficulty at about 75%.

At the beginning, I build only trucks to speed up the construction. On the research side I try to focus on those things :
- AA defense (accuracy, +damage, +rate of fire) to take down VTOLs that come to destroy my factories
- artillery (hellstorm) to deal with low armor tanks (hover) and cyborgs
- research scourge missile hardpoint to deal with high armor tanks
- cannon fortress to guard main base entries. I prefer them to the the heavy rocket bastion because it gives some splash damage (usefull when guarding narrow entries)

But this strategy costs a lot and I can't manage to survive long enough to begin attacking...
