best none downloadable online game similiar to warzone?

What is the best REAL-TIME online game similiar to warzone and age of empires that goes through ages that can be played online without downloading the software?

Depends on preferences, really. I’m quite sure, that there is almost no game like Warzone out on the market, as designing your own units in a real time strategy is a rare thing in a game.

Though, if you like turn based strategy, you might enjoy ‘Galactic Civilizations.’ It plays just like ‘Civilizations,’ but in space, and you can basically design your own units, like in Warzone. But it’s a complicated game, and has quite the learning curve.

For real time, again, its preference. I’m sure if enough people post answers, they might say ‘Starcraft,’ or ‘Supreme Commander.’ as I said, finding a game with designable units, is quite rare.

Now, if I can recall, their was this old computer game with 2D graphics called ‘Breed.’ that had designable units, and from what I played, it was fun…even if it were a demo. However, I seriously doubt there is a hard copy of THAT game in retail stores.

Not a single one is browser-based, though. I'm planning on making a browser-based MMORTS, but that's really long term.

What about Earth 2140,Earth 2150,Earth 2160 and coming soon Earth 2170 ? In this game you can design your own units too!

there is no unit-desinger in Earth 2140...

Earth 2150 got a limited Unit Editor you can use, but there's not really that many guns you CAN fit on one tank or mech in that game.

Earth 2160 however, got a much bigger variety. You got different armor, hardpoints, legs/tracks, you name it.

Only problem is the aliens, which doesn't got an unit editor, nor any resource bars/numbers for what you have, which makes it hard to play as them when doing Skirmish with Uncle Sam (the one where you get resources every minute).

Other than that, i haven't seen that many games where you CAN edit your unit to the extent of where it's almost a different unit.

I SERIOUSLY recommend Galactic Civilizations. I bought it a few days ago and love it almost as much as warzone. It has an intricate and involved gameplay with more ways to win than just military power.

oh yeah and in GalCiv you can even create the DESIGN of the unit
shall they have 1 wing or 5? big? small?
or a cube?
