Hi, Im having trouble getting a LAN game going. Im using a labtop with the newest vista as the host (Port 2100 open), and an XP desktop to join. I know the connection works, weve been playing mechwarrior 4 for 8 hours straight.
Tells me:
"Error registering game with lobby server: Is port 2100 open?"
Both are using 2.2.3. Any help? Thank you.

Re: LAN Games
LAN games only work when you connect to each other via direct IP.
Wish they would use UDP Broadcast.

This is a waste of space. Something important should be here.

Re: LAN Games
I know. I hosted the game from one computer, and put in the IP in the other. No games found, and the host computer says "Error registering game with lobby server: Is port 2100 open?".
And it is.
And it is.

Re: LAN Games
I do not know dude, it should work on a LAN.
Post the stderr.txt file of both host and client machines. Hell, might as well do --debug net as well, as was mentioned in another thread.
