Can Arcangel still be researched?

Hi out there. I suspected this quite some time ago, hence, yesterday I played a game speccially to prove it.

I wasnt able to research the advanced Missile Warhead MK2, still, I could research its prereq the Adv. Missile Alocation system.

According to the tech tree, AMW needs AMAS to be researchable, which I could research up to MK3. still AMW is not in the list. Neither are Arcangel Rockets. Is this some kind of bug in the 2.2 Version?

It is likely that you missed out on one of the pre-requisites - neural research synapse brain? ripple rockets? CB Tower?

Last I got that far down the tech tree it seemed fine.

that is another thing. I Could not find neural synapse Research Brain inside my list of achieved technologies, the max I could find was Dedicated Synaptic Link Data Analysis MK3. Although this I had other Researches that do list NSRBrain as Prereqs. (e.g. the Satellite Uplink Center).

It is also remarkable that I had Angel-Missiles, Ripples and Advanced Missile Allocation System. I Just couldn´t Get Advanced Missile Warhead. Also referring to guide.wz2100.net, The Advanced Missile Warhead lists as its only Prereq the Advanced Missile Allocation System.

Oh, I missed that out in my first post, I am running on windows Xp, using my own build, which has been made with the sources of 2.2 from Download page(.tar.bz2 file).

...ack! Capitalization, man! Your posts are kind of hard to read, since your capitalization is all over the place.

That said, are you playing multiplayer? You may have skipped prereqs by defeating enemies and taking their artifacts.

You don't have a list of achieved technologies, so there's no way to tell.

Actually, what's more likely is that you just didn't notice AMW since its icon is an Avenger, not a Scourge Missile.

*g* I must apologize for my post here. I just found the Archangels. I had the memories of the AMW image being the same as the image from the scourge, in fact it seems to have been changed to the image of the Avenger SAM missiles. Though its kind of strange that the image is the same as Scourge when researching MKII. Seems to be kind of a minor bug.

So far, this can be closed.

Its icon has always been an Avenger. I mean, AMW upgrades all missiles: Scourge, Avenger, Angel, Archangel, Vindicator, Fortress... I guess it makes less sense now, since it no longer has Avenger has a prerequisite...
