okay, so i was thinking, maybe we should get some carriers for those maps that are largely water based. you know, so that the vtols can already be near their attack destination and wont have to fly far and get shot down.
i may get into modding just so i can make this happen.
P.S.: im new here and been playing warzone 2100 for bout a year now.

Re: an idea
there was a lot of talk about naval units last year, I think there even was a shipyard design as well as a carrier body proposed. Support for naval propulsion was added a few versions ago I think, but i haven't seen anything new on it since last year though.

Re: an idea
well, let's see. i enabled the "give all" cheat code and got the naval propulsion, stationed a factory near a water source (if the factory doors face the water), and ordered them into the water. or, just use the ctrl-O cheat.dant3 5tra5t wrote:if the area is largly water based then their shouldnt be many aa in the area. also how would you get the carrier to the water?
Edit: btw, there should still be at least 45% land. the purpose is to get the vtol around the aa sites gaurding the oil resources.
to counter what you might say next, the AI puts its aa defences in one spot, so using the laser satellite uplink, you blow those away in one shot.
P.S. i meant this with the utmost respect. i recently became a member and dont want to have enemy's right off the bat.
