suggestion for forum signature (system specs)

Post by psychopompos »

i saw this on some moder/gamer forums.
basically, under profile/edit signature, there where entry fields for putting your system data/specs in, it would then display as a grid below posts nice & neat.

could there be a use for such a thing here?
it would certainly give quick reference to some frequently requested data.

You mean something like this:
Untitled-1.jpg
You click on button and a pop-up window opens,
showing the user's configuration.
It's from Croatian IT magazine's forum.

I could make this possible over custom profile fields. But only a few people would actually fill it, so that we probably need to ask for it (if someone forgets) anyways. So, beside some e-genitalia for some people, it wouldn't really bring some beneffit, from my point of view.
