Fantastic, keep it up

I used to have this on playstation, and really enjoyed playing it then, despite the controller being absolutely inadequate for it. its great to see it being so faithfully re-created here. My only criticism is i cant change windows while playing, to an IM for example. running Ubuntu.

Why not? Turn off the 'trap cursor' if you want to move it away from the wz window...
and it ends here.

No, just press Esc. Or Alt+Tab. Or WindowsLogoKey.

Edit: Oh, wait, Ubuntu. Well, Esc still works. I'm not sure about Alt+Tab, but it might work. WLK clearly doesn't.

no, ESC brings up the in-game menu. Iv just defined new key strokes to move between 2 workspaces, and they dont work.

Yes, but when the in-game menu is brought up, you can freely move your cursor away from Warzone. You are playing in windowed mode, aren't you? If you're playing in fullscreen, you may need to press Alt+Enter to switch to windowed mode first.
