How do I open port 2100?
How do I open port 2100?- Basicly what I'm trying to do is play multiplayer, but everytime I try to connect to a game it says it needs port 2100 open, can someone tell me how do open it please?

when i go on that mibbit thing it termintes me after 2 seconds everytime i try

my 2100 port is open (says my laptop) and the game agreed last night but today the game disagrees as i tryed to join multiplayer games it said there are none being hosted so i try hosting one myself but when i do it says ERROR hosting match is your 2100 port open.

im fine when i join some ones game, but when i try to open one my self it says "system error: error conecting to lobby server: is port 2100 open". i have tryed everything but it always say this even though i have done everything possible to allow and forward the port.
i was in the warzone irc chatroom earlier and i was with 3 other people who all had the same problem so we were not able to play a game as none were able to host.
surely this can be fixed somehow so everyone can get the full potential out of the game, just seems more likely to be the game rather than the 75% of people who all have the same problem (unable to host).

same problem here to im thinking the computer prevents us from hosting

There are at least two possible places where an application can be blocked from connecting to the network by a firewall. One is a device like a DSL modem/router with an embedded firewall. The other is a firewall in the operating system itself.
Each firewall must be configured with the proper open ports. Just doing one is not enough.
Note: if you access the internet via a proxy, that will also interfere with open ports.

but what i was thinking is perhaps there is a way to setup the game in a way which does not cause these problems to begin with, as i have played alot of online games and never had this problem before.
Mabye a dev could think of a way around this problem?

Oh, there are many such methods, such as relay servers. We were talking about them a few months ago.
The biggest problem with that approach is, no one has both the time and knowledge to implement that. Mostly time.

I think I'll revive this topic rather than open a new one.
I too have been having some difficulties with MP. Put very simply a friend and I have tried to play on the same connection but were unable to since the modem only allows a 2100 port to open for one PC on the wifi network.
We've also tried to use a public location for it but the problem is then that the 2100 port is closed.
Has anybody else experienced similar problems or have any suggestions as how to solve this problem? Is it, for instance, possible to use a standard port to interface with port 2100 users?

In addition, if you're on a same connection (aka in a LAN), you can just join your LAN IPs and don't need to forward any ports at all.
