White Screen Crash

Hi mates. At first, i have used your resurrect project since Warzone 2100 V0.2.2 but i dont know if V0.2.2 was created by you.
I own V2.0.4 still

Alright, now to the issues.... few weeks ago i downloaded your latest release V2.1.2-1 and as usual i really enjoyed WZ2100.

After an hour of gameplay (maybe a bit longer) WZ2100 freezes and crashes with a white screen. I need to close the WZ2100 process thruogh Task-Manager. I never got any error messages.

Exactly the same thing happens with V2.1.3!!
It is unplayable in multiplayer mode beacuse i really like to play a game for about hours.

So: yesterday i downloaded, installed and started to play the Campaign with V2.2 Beta 1 to test if this also happens in Singleplayer mode as well and, god i really love the FMV's. You do really awesome stuff. The main issue why i downloaded this beta was, because i want to play the campaign with the original FMV's. Earlier versions dont include them.
I do own the original WZ2100 CD's as well but they are scratched, a pity. That's why.

In V2.2 Beta 1, the same problem occurs. After nearly 'exact' an hour the game freezes and crashes immediately with a white screen (V2.2 Beta 1 shows a timer, thats nice!). My Windows Vista Mouse changes to 'busy' infront of that white screen!
But V2.2 BETA1 provides me with an error message at least.

These are the error messages after the 1st and 2nd white screen crash and i guess, it is the same crash as in V2.1.2-1 and 2.1.3:

I played the 1st campaign and after an hour i got a crash as described above. I dont know if this is a bug or glitch, i think it is more a compatibility problem!! You explained that we need to tell you what exactly we did, before a crash or confusing issues etc appears. But thats a compatibility error. Im not sure tho.
My cores are working incredibly, they are really loud and maybe out of memory while i am playing WZ2100, lol. This normally happens if i play other games as RedAlert1 or C&C1 or newer games and alt-tab back to desktop.

I am using:
- Vista Home Premium 32x
- AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 5200+ @2.6GHz
- ~2GB DDR2 RAM
- nVidia GeForce 8600GS
> latest nvidia drivers
> latest DX drivers
> etc... im up to date
btw: i use a dual-screen.

I see nothing relevant what i did ingame before those crashes occured.
But after that white screen crash and exitting WZ2100 thruogh Task manager a symbol icon appeared in my system tray and you are not able to let it disappear. It is the same icon as this topic icon, just in yellow... you know! It disappears after a reboot.

In 2.2 beta 1, when it crashes, it should make a files called warzone2100.rpt, stderr.txt, and stdout.txt. Can you zip those files up and upload them as an attachment? That would be much appreciated.

Do you remember what you were doing?

This isn't the first time a bug that depends specifically on time has been reported. The rpt file seems to suggest it had something to do with power. Did it freeze at "Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at 10:54:35"?

The problem with freezes is that they're impossible to pinpoint. GDB doesn't even tell me anything useful. :/

Whenever i started to play the campaign yesterday, i lost about an hour of gameplay because i saved each game after reaching the next level thruogh the statistics screen. So i was playing an hour before it crashed. After this 1st freeze and white screen crash in V2.2 Beta1 i was about to save the game after important things, in other words maybe every 15-20 mins.

I started WZ2100 and began this level from the start again, from the latest savegame. I played a bit and saved every 15 - 20 mins to dont lose too much gameplay time. Game crashed after an hour and few mins of gameplay. This beta version shows the time of my gameplay. So i needed to close the WZ2100 process thruogh the task manager again. Needed to restart WZ2100 of course.

I loaded up that savegame before WZ crashed 5 - 10 mins later. So i was able to continue the campaign, but lost those 5 - 10 mins of course, but this doesnt matter!!
After an hour it crashed again but i am still able to continue the campaign thruogh this way. Saving every 15-20 mins and load up the game before it was about to crash [...]
As i explained, this also happened/happens in V2.1.2-1 and V2.1.3 so in this beta. Happens in multiplayer games as well.

Hmm, so why do you think it has something to do with the power? I was able to continue playing WZ after loading up my latest savegame/s. I think if it has something to do with the power it should crash exactly in the same moment when the power reaches that status [...]! well i dont know.
What power do you mean by the way, lol? The Oil ingame or the Power of my PC?!?!

I am sure that it froze at "Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at 10:54:35"! It was 10:54am. After this last crash i stopped playing WZ for this day.

I am also sure that this issue has something to do with like a "timer" in my PC, because i am able to continue playing for the next hour after i loaded up a savegame near that coming crash. My PC overheats or whatever else. Or a memory error. It runs like i alt-tab back to my desktop while i am still ingame of an any game.
Maybe WZ2100 uses too much resources while it is running. I play WZ with this parameter btw:

--resolution 1024x768

Anyway i try to grab more information what i did ingame. I am going to continue my campaign and going to remember what i did before the game crashed in a distance of about 10 mins +/- !!

I will attach my latest savegame as well within my next post and im going to descibe: when WZ crashed after i loaded up this savegame. Maybe you can need it.

Hmmm... i guess, this all confuses ...
does it matter that i keep running TeamSpeak 2 and Live Messenger, so NOD32 AntiVir/Firewall and Daemon Tools Lite in the background?
