Hello, just started with my first real modeling tries. Cause i like warzone 2100 i thought of remaking somehow ALL of its models, but that would take time and secondly im learning howto do this. So i started with this 20min result. Mostly i know the technics but am not extremely creative. But i would build on request too, best with a small and simple hand-drawn draft. Whatever needed, buildings, vehicles, objects. but no humans/cyborgs ^^
Looking good but it's generally unwise to model details like the barrel ridges for a game with no close-up zoom (just draw the bevels on the texture). Also the turret edges and barrels can be done using smoothing rather than bevels (WZ models use elongated cubes for all barrels).
I doubt wz2100 is polygon limited on modern hardware but these are good habits to learn. Let the polygons express general shape and the textures express details.
Cool! I like it, but the propulsion needs something in the middle as it looks empty there. I do however like it so far! Is it supposed to be a Twin Machinegun Viper Wheels Unit?
