Original walls

Post by Mysteryem »

I've recreated the original walls (they seem original to me) and put them into a mod. I'll upload some pictures tommorow.

I was digging through some topics and came across this, and felt like this needed comments.
It looks great, nice work! It would be nice to get this incorporated into some major mod, if you know what I mean! :D

Wait, what's the difference between this and the current walls? What do you mean by "original"?

who cares about originality; those walls are much better than the ones currently used by the Project.

Details, which make you like something or not even though you can't clearly see them. No complex geometry detailment, and no large texture changes, an overall, simple, good improvement.

Try to compare them like this:

.

See it now ? That's subtle artistry - sometimes harder to achieve than stuff that obviously hits you over the head like a hammer.

hahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahhahahaha xD
I'm laughing myself to death, I swear xD xD

Anyway

I think that it's interesting because it adds teamcolors to a diferent angle, it makes it easier to see which player's wall it is. That kind of "at a glance" stuff.

The team colour rim extends downwards a short ways. So there is a texture difference.

It could be my imagination but the new wall also looks more robust while the hardpoints look one step closer to heavily reinforced towers.

I like. :3

Yeah, that's exactly what I thought. It is very subtle but it's indeed noticeable.

Yes, I like them. Unless there are objections, I will be adding them into Warzone 3.0 very soon now.
