r6878 - cross-compile fails (-lbfd)

Hi there!
Wanted to cross revision r6878 with the latest devpkg avaliable at the moment (20090314)
It fails on configure stage with an error:

checking bfd.h usability... yes
checking bfd.h presence... yes
checking for bfd.h... yes
checking for bfd_openr in -lbfd... no
configure: error: BFD not found.

Could someone upload up-to-date developer's package with full bfd lib or help me to fix this problem?

The person in charge of that don't frequent the forums that much, if at all, anymore.
There is also a issue with gcc 4.x & libbfd.

mmm.. maybe that's the problem cause I'm using gcc 4.3.3
