Hi-res weapons texpage wanted

Get some help with creating maps or modding.
Need a map editor or other tools, look here!

Hi There, been following the resurrection project for some time but this is my first post. Well done, btw.

I'm developing a mod for the Spring RTS engine and when eidos confirmed the GPL on the data last year I decided to reuse the weapons from wz2100 for my units.

I was originally going to use only the geometry but I've decided I can't be bothered with all the effort of rebuilding the UV maps when pie_blender and Spring's own import system do such a great job of preserving the texture coordinates. I can get things done 100 times quicker by just upsampling page_17_droid_weapons.png to 1024x1024 and repainting it. Spring can zoom in far enough to paint a model across the whole screen so fixing the textures is a high priority for me or it'll be a blur-fest.

I figured you guys would be doing something similar and sure enough I found a couple of threads to that effect but most of it is people talking about doing it. I wasn't able to find any actual copies of a hi-res page 17. I may have missed something though so if anybody has even a WIP sitting around or can post a link that would be greatly appreciated. My mod is GPL as well so in return I'll post my finished texpage back here when i'm done. I just don't want to duplicate existing effort unnecessarily.

I don't think anyone is working on this right now. At least I don't know about it.

For me, the 512x512 is just enough to make the textures better, especially on those texpages which use 256x256
The future NWS & GFX Skin Mod V4 will have all textures with resolution of 512x512

Good luck, the texpages really need redoing now that the terrain is being upgraded.
Are you after one which isn't blured?

We'd really appreciate if you could help us make high-res weapons texpages, actually. None of us are doing anything substantial regarding it.

but what will happen if you set that size to 1024?

Sorry for the late reply, this forum was supposed to email me but didn't.

Thanks for the feedback and original file.

Progress has stalled thanks to this problem. If anyone does want to help then fixing that is a good start. Without the texcoords being accurately preserved then I can't test or use any of it.

Maybe someone with 3DSMax could batch convert some models for me?

yeah sure... i can do that for ya...
but i need a little help with that... (export plugin for max)

Thanks, but I found out it was only some models. Of course if you could export just those models that would be cool. I listed the broken files in post 2 of the other thread
