Extreme choppy graphics

Post by crusaderoath »

This issue plagues the experience for me even from the main menu.

My system varies.. the only difference is the operating system: Windows 7

I must therefore ask the question, what could be causing the slowdown? I disable all desktop composition along with reverting to windows basic graphics before execution, but the game itself runs extremely slowly.. The sound is choppy and various things just don't perform the way they should. This only happens on my windows 7 computers, and each computer I run it on has completely different hardware so I doubt it is driver/hardware related. What could it be? :gonk:

Disabling desktop composition isn't going to help things.

Are you sure it's not the drivers? Especially if you're using Windows 7 built-in drivers. Microsoft themselves decided they didn't like OpenGL a while back, since they wanted to force everyone into ActiveX.

The choppy menu graphics is because Warzone uses its 3D engine for the 2D menu graphics for reasons unknown to me.

I have to agree, that it is a driver issue.

For the menus, everything in the game is 3d, though, it might look 2D. :P And that is because the rendering engine uses openGL for everything. Text, widgets, you name it. Everything except sound.
and it ends here.

I'm currently using Windows 7 and have not experienced any problems besides really really slow startup. As in it takes several minutes for warzone to appear after double-clicking the shortcut. Other than that it runs well.
