alliances... and other things

Please forgive me if this has been answered elsewhere- I have looked, honest.

Anyway, single player, skirmish mode, 4-player, alliances allowed, wz2100 NTW version 1.6.6:

how in the heck do I form an alliance- pressing the enter button is not doing a thing for me

Oh, well... from the In-for-a-penny-in-for-a-pound Department:

how do I play in Multiplayer- the Lobby seems to get me nowhere and I don't know any IP addresses (does that automatically make me unworthy?)

also, in NTW version 1.7.1, I'm encountering no more resistance than light bodies, and absolutely no VTOL's, though there is all the usual AAA and an AA shield- I really would like to see how it performs Is it me, or is it the mod?

keypad enter - and then choose your alliance. xD

Dear lav_coyote25 and stiv,

After I left this forum, I did try keypad enter, and it worked (I swear I tried that before, I think), insofar as the alliance screen came up, and I could offer to form an alliance, but that's as far as I got. Any alliance offered was neither accepted nor denied- it just kept on being offered. Man, if the AI's can form alliances, why can't I? I'm getting my backside kicked trying to fight 3 opponents at once.

If anybody cares to offer additional assistance, I humbly await your reply.

The AI will decide if it wants to make an alliance with you, it's a two way thing.

If you choose locked teams on the skirmish setup screen you can force the AI to set teams. Use the circled number to specify what the teams are (players with the same number will be allied.)
