I was just observing the types of mods which i searched in the forum, and most commom type of mods are global (Campaign and Multiplay) and multiplay mods (only multiplay), but i never saw a mod to be used only in campaign, does it makes sense to made mods for only campaign mode?

wz fans have been fascinated with scavs for years. the opening of the original campaign featuring scavs is very weak all the way around. i have seen your work on scavs and i think it looks good, very promising imho (that scav chopper of yours is splendid), if you applied your scav work to modify the opening missions of the campaign you could have a winner on your hands. i'm sure you could manage to preserve the balance (i get the sense you also have a grasp of ai scripting which is important to modifying the campaign) while introducing your scav work and give fans a much better play experience than the original. that's my opinion, anyway. I also like your cyborg work. what about a campaign mod along the lines of "Scav-Borg Wars" ? That title sounds like Scavs vs. Borgs but it could mean you control both vs an enemy that consisted of both. In either scenario dispense with tanks but include the Troop Transport and your Scav Helicopter. Just a few thoughts out of
a bazillion possibilties you could come up with.

-- Putting aside Black Project's GFX work this MOD proposal is pretty easy to implement. I decided to do it for MP instead of CAM only cause I could do it quicker than modifying the early stages of the CAM 1 map (also a manageable "proof-of-concept" for me). Made a 4 player map and utilized a technique from Citadel Elite that makes terrain passable for Borgs only (no tanks, making for a close kinship with Spec Ops). Limited LZs for Troop Transports only and structure building (Factories, etc.) are also narrowed down using the same technique. Made it is so that each player has a Scav alliance. The resource rich high ground center is run by a custom A.I. (also borrowed from CE but with further modifications in the templates, triggers, etc.. essentially a fifth player... and a KoTH variant GP mode) Had the assets to do it quickly for v.1.10 and then tested at my LAN club. ALL rush tactics are nullified and combined arms from multiple vectors become the premium deployments, if you wanna real chance to win. Very interesting game play, though committed rushers will hate it which doesn't apply to me and mine - in other words, I could care less. There are more ways to implement the basic idea than the way I did it and BPs assets would surely have enhanced the whole experience - esp that Scav Helicopter. All in all, the general idea is that this is a breath of fresh air as far as the usual narrow scope MP game play winning tacs.cumandgetit wrote:

I do believe the campaign editor used by Pumpkin to make the original campaign was included with the Warzone sourcecode when it was released back 5 years ago - if the *heavenly Gods* developers were to modify this code, it could be used to make brand new campaigns...

I don't pretend to create new missions for camapaigns, i just want to make the missions more harder, make the enemy much harder to get defeated, a good idea which i'm think is a mod called "Warzone Hardcore Campaign Mode", some examples are:
Units using advanced weapons and propulsions
Change some balancing of the campaign mode
Add more stuff to the campaign (E.g:New weapons, scav bndies, Dragon and Wyvern to campaign mod, NEXUS Plasma Cannon Available without the usage of cheats, etc)
And more which i don't remember well, but i'm sure i'll do that.

- Pumpkin's "World Edit" (that's what they called it) did not in any way automate creating Campaign Missions - you still had to write campaign scripts "by hand"... Yes the source was there and was in fact used to create the Map Editor "32EW Beta" but the fact is it's not really an issue of the Dev Team making a "Campaign Editor" out of World Edit source..... what is the truth is that most do not have the fortitude or passion to learn WZ Campaign Scripting to create new Missions. Those who have mastered WZ Scripting (Troman, NiKer, Prometheus, Chojun) have much preferred to write General Purpose Skirmish A.I.s instead of Campaign Scripting.
