hello , i'v seen someone made a fortress of the 3d drawings from the orginal pictures... it has 4 cannons heh...
so warzone will be able to have more then 1 turret on a defensive structure that can shoot to difrent enemy's instead of one?

Re: multi weapon?
Yeah, it's possible. No currently available structure can do that, but, say, a mod could do it.DarkCheetah wrote:hello , i'v seen someone made a fortress of the 3d drawings from the orginal pictures... it has 4 cannons heh...

Re: multi weapon?
The main point here is:
Key:
D = droid
T = turret
D2
D1
¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨
T2 T1
_________________
Turret 2 should shoot droid 2 but because droid 1 is closest to the structure, both turret 1 and 2 shoot at droid 1.
Things start acting strangely when one turret is ground only and the other is air only.
Also, only the first weapon on a structure recoils and has a muzzle flash.
Because if there is more than one weapon on a structure, all the weapons will attack the closest unit/structure.DarkCheetah wrote:a defensive structure that can shoot to difrent enemy's instead of one

Re: multi weapon?
i think there need to come a update for warzone (Orginally release) multi weapon strucutres , like a fortress u can custoize in Design , and choose 4 weapons to put on (or less , depends on fortress) so also T1 will shoot D1 and T2 shoot D2 , that'l be realy awesomeMysteryem wrote:The main point here is:

Re: multi weapon?
one issue with the current multi-turret code is that the weapons shoot inside the structure which looks very nasty..
there's a new management code ready for test, but it hasn't been touched recently. (this also adds a feature (mix weapons & sensor turrets) which is needed by the new structrues)
regards

Re: multi weapon?
great! looking to the first screenshot... i think its gonna be a wonderfull feature , and yes i know it costs some coding and all , especially to prevent it shooting trough buildings... it will be awesome if T1 shoots D1 and T2 -> D2 yeh i keep dreaming and dreaming alot
