New style of tracks

Post by Mysteryem »

I've, for an experiment, made a new style of tracks, please tell me what you think of it (the style especially). There's probably a bit more rounding needed on the corners and the texpage needs a small change.

IMO, they look weird, maybe the texture shouldn't just stretch over the middle of the tracks :P

ahh, I was thinking of trying to create WWI-style tank stuff for WZ2100 some time ago.
Good work, though it does look a bit strange when turrets and bodies are not changed. Most of the tanks of that era had their weapons mounted in side turrets or a fixed front mount, rather than a tower as modern tanks, hadn't they?

It's an interesting experiment and a good looking model I think. I don't really think more rounding is needed considering that you usually play the game zoomed out a lot.

If the VTOL's where changed into zeppelins or ballons (since I guess it would be really hard to make aircraft behave like planes in WZ2100) and cyborgs where replaced with sprite soldiers like the ones the scavengers use, and you could make a whole WWI-style mod, or at least some alternate-timeline WWI stuff.

Looks pretty good! Except the sides look like wallpaper, maybe you can have some 'block' bits to show armor plating.
