faceInFlight?

Post by Mysteryem »

I'm not sure if this is the right forum for this thread, it's a bit of both. Sorry if it's in the wrong place.

Currently under txt editing, in the explanation of weapons.txt this is what is displayed:
facePlayer
YES = projectile always face player view NO = projectile always not face player view

faceInFlight
similar to facePlayer
However, it seems that the first one (facePlayer) actually controls whether or not the explosion always faces you. Finally, it seems that the second one (faceInFlight) does nothing at all.

Does anyone know what "faceInFlight" actually does? O_o
I'm assuming we are free to change the wiki, no backups have to be taken or anything else done?

This combat group is engaging the enemy while they retreat. Moving forward and away from the enemy, the tank
turrets face the enemy in the rear and continue to fire within range - the borgs do the same, walking backwards &
simultaneously firing. They are all "InFlight" but making sure their weaps still "Face" the enemy so they can still fire.
Honestly, I don't know for sure. Could just as well involve VTOLs. The phrase "in flight" has 2 meanings: (1) trying to get away
or retreat and (2) the state of being airborne.
