Time killers

Post by Buginator »

Since I was bored with fixing bugs, I decided to try some of these out. They are all free Midway games.

The suffering is one ... demented game. Somehow, I don't recall ever seeing/hearing about this. This story line is just

Haven't tried this one yet.

Area 51: Not bad, gets kinda boring though.

Rise & Fall: Civilizations at War: Hey, they got stupid AI and stuck units also! :D

and it ends here.

The Suffering is a great game :P
Area 51 wasn't bad either. It had David Duchovney (spelling*)
and Psi-Ops is also very good, you'll have fun setting people on fire.

If this is a topic for any recommended free time killing games, I really recommend the open source FPS Nexuiz, and the open source X-Com clone "UFO: Alien Invasion" (still pretty buggy and having some not-yet-implemented features, but you can still have some very interesting games with it, using the Quake 2 engine and supposedly runs on EEE PC).

OK, they might be somewhat more time consuming than your general midway classic arcade game, but anyway.
