I'd like to help
put simply. I like to make music. Ever since i heard of warzone 2100 i liked it. and when i found out that there was a ressurection for it, i pretty much knew i wanted to help. only there are problems with me being able to help. ( no programming experience or education in the least) and i didn't go to college to learn how to make music. I sort of just make stuff when i feel like it. as i noticed there is no sound track for it, i would like to try my hand at failed song loops for it. i just need some guidlines of whats wanted and i'll work on it. ( i mostly make electronica, trance, wanna be dnb, and almost techno) well if any of you are interested, i'd like to put my computer into good use for this project ( its an alienware) as if that meant anything.

have at it. lets hear what you have done already. the original was a bit on the dark moody esoterica type of music. looking forward to hearing what you have.

Re: I'd like to help
check out my songs on Myspace. under Dj Gcool. i made those. there's a couple on there that are ok. one of them has a part that reminds me of warzone. the song called...( i have to go check the name, i named it differently when i made it) not trance but something. listen to that one , infinite insanity, and stupid beat to get an idea of my style. but seriously. I"ll try and make a 20 minute or so loop, somewhere inbetween drum n bass, and electro techno. ( i really do need some sound samples though, i'm working with the factory sounds from reason 3.0) i'll upgrade to 4.0 when i can scrounge up an extra 400 dollars to buy the program...

Here's a link
http://www.soundclick.com/bands/default ... dID=887458
Its my first start on it. I've since made it a bit longer, put it on a loop, added a failed melody, then played level 2-5 of first mission set. ( i took booku screenshots of the levels)
the whole time the song was looping. and it DIDN'T drive me mad. so it somewhat fits. still needs some work though. ( the version you'll hear, is what i made the very first day i said i would, i got to spend like 3 hours on it) let me know what you think.
about the
beat?
pads?
hi hats?
bass?
and melodic effects? ( no true melody on this one, or the other one for that matter...)
and the over all appeal? feed back would be great, if you would like me to make a better fitting song that is. ( but like i said, though its slow, it sounded quite good and didn't annoy me after hearing it over and over again for like 2 and half hours)
I just now added that version ( the one i looped and played warzone too) its downloadable, so just turn down the sfx and voices to about 15% or less and convert from mp3 to wma (unless u can play mp3s) loop it on windos media and blammo. music for warzone.... sort of.

Re: I'd like to help
May I suggest you post your tunes in the 'showcase' section in this forums?
You will most likely get more feedback.
