few ideas

Post by polo »

hi all, i use to play warsone 2100 some years ago and when i come across this forum i decide starting it again.

i have seen many upgrades specialy the ones in the tech tree with so many new weapons, so my suggestions was the creation of 2 new superheavybodys, that will work diferent than any other normal body.

protector:
similar to the phiton in hp and armor but lower speed in adition to this the body will have the capability of blocking 1 attack every 5 secs good against long reatck high dmg weapons useless agains fast ones energy requiere will be similar to heraldic dragon.

fortress:
slowest body ingame with the highest cost, instead of 2 weapons this body will carry 3 or even 4 but only 2 will work while moving, the special thing about this body is the capability of "sitting" on the ground and become a stationary tank with the 3-4 weapons activated, in adition to this when "sitting" on the ground the weapons will gain a range and dmg bonus of 10-20% max, the grafic can be the fortresss one but intead of having 1 big turret 3-4 normal ones, and the sitting effect well it dosent realy need one just make it not to move while is activated.

I like the fortress thing but 4 weapons is lethal O_O I suggest 2 OR it should be completely useless while moving.(and have 4 weapons)

It would be a good stratagy and guard the fortress with other tanks while trying to "sit" "deploy" the fortress in your enemie's base.

They would also be good for custom turrents.

at first I thought the fortress thing was a pretty silly idea, then it hit me that it could look kind of like the giant crawler thing NASA uses to transport the space shuttle from the hangers to the launch pad.
Incredibly slow and big, (the NASA thing only moves a couple of meters per hours if I remember correctly, and in-game unit would obviously have to be able to move a lot faster than that, you would like to see it move during the length of a game after all, but it would still have to be far slower than anything else in the game) preferably used with tracked propulsion to get the right look, mounted with several artillery turrets, or those huge fortress cannon/gauss cannons/missile launcher turrets, and you've got a cross between the old rail-cannons (not to be confused with railguns, I mean huge cannons mounted on railroad cars) and a fortress.
Pro's would obviously be a fort thingy you could move around the battlefield and deploy where it would be most useful, and cons that it would be really slow, not have the same amount of hitpoints as static fortresses, probably wouldn't be able to fire while moving, it would probably not have any way to defend itself if it came under attack, and certainly wouldn't be able to outrun anything in the game and so on.
