Making Pie slicer work
Making Pie slicer work
I am attempting to create a mod for the warzone's graphics  , however, After downloading Slicer i have tried multiple times to get the required files for Slicer but i can't find a decent source for these files, the readme is no good... are their any good links to follow?
Re: Making Pie slicer work
Which required files you talking about?
AFAIK, there is a tutorial for this utility, and everything else wz related in the manual.

* I assume you dl from Stratadrakes site: http://www.angelfire.com/falcon/stratadrake/utils/
* I assume that the Readme, in part, is:
* The ones you will need are: mscomctl.ocx, comdlg32.ocx, and picclp32.ocx

* I am imagine you have no prob with the required DX and VB runtime .dll (Google for dls) and that it is the required OLE Control eXtension files (OCX) that you are referring to all of which can be found here : http://www.afreeocx.com/ (this site will also tell you how to install depending on your Win OS).....Pie Slicer should be able to run on almost any PC running Windows 98 or higher, with DirectX 7.0 or higher, even if it it slower or has less memory than the one listed. For Windows 2000 or Windows ME, you will need to have Service Pack 1 installed. However, Pie Slicer may experience some problems in a Windows XP environment, and there are some known problems with running Warzone 2100 itself on Windows XP. If there are any OS-related problems with PIE Slicer, by all means contact us either through e-mail, IRC, or (preferably) through the RTS.Net forums.
You need the Visual Basic 6.0 Runtime DLL. This may be found at various websites like www.completelyfreesoftware.com .
You also need to have DirectX 7.0 or higher installed on your system and a DX7 compatible graphics card. Pie Slicer does not support software rendering.
And furthermore, you may need to install the "Required System OCX Files" pack, which contains a few other system files used in Pie Slicer and other programs like WZCK2.0 .
Obviously, you will need Warzone 2100 installed on your system for Pie Slicer to be of any real use. You do not "need" to have WZCK and/or WDG Explorer installed, but they are highly recommended as well -- WDG Explorer for extracting PIE graphics from Warzone 2100’s game data, and WZCK to easily compile your own Warzone mods.
Finally, you will want a desktop resolution of 800x600 or larger operating at 16-bit color or higher. PIE Slicer *should* run in as low as 640x480 and even 256-color desktops, but doing so is strongly not recommended!
