Okay i have a laptop with Vista and it has no problem hosting. All ports 9997-9999 are open including firewall pass for Warzone. But when i try to host on my PC which has XP and all the same port configurations and firewall exemptions. Even when i take my firewall down on my PC, it still doesn't show my hosted game in the lobby.
What am I doing right on my laptop and wrong on my PC?
Maybe beacause both computers are using the same router? (even though each has different IP address)
Please help thanks!

While they both have a different internal IP (192.168.x.x or whatever), the external IP is the same for both*.eclipz3 wrote:Okay i have a laptop with Vista and it has no problem hosting. Which router is this anyway? If you set it to DMZ, then either the XP box or the vista box should be able to host, but not both* at the same time.
The when the XP(or vista) box is hosting, the other one can't use the lobby to 'find' the game*, it must connect via whatever the internal IP is.
*(Unless you actually have 2 external IPs that you can use.)

Re: Help with hosting
okay makese sense but why is it then that when Vista is hosting i can "find the game" but when XP is hosting Vista can't find the game.
Also i don't think i've had people enter my room when i hosted on the XP. Any other possible causes? Thanks for the help.

Which router is it?
I assume that the router is assigning Vista 1st, and XP 2nd?
I guess it also depends if you got port forwarding going on, and all that good stuff.

Re: Help with hosting
It's a wireless router. My pc has a wireless USB link to the router and has XP. The laptop is just wireless and conntects to anything it can and runs Vista.
Even if the laptop isn't playing WZ, and i just try to host on the PC's XP, the game won't show in lobby. It's something wrong with my PC XP, and i have all the ports open as well, even with the firewall down the game doesn't show too i tested it.

If you plug in XP direct to the cable/DSL modem, then does it work?
