What is your favorite style in Warzone 2100

People got style some people like to send zillions of tanks early in the game or some people just are defense buff heads(that me) and wait for the perfect opportunity to strike.


Tell me what is your warzone 2100 style.

just for the record, 'defense buff heads' could also be called 'turtles'

personally, i prefer to rush, oil = power (literally ), and the most effective way of getting it is annexing.
of course, if theres more than one enemy, then i usually fall back to the turtling.

Rush out with builders, hold for a short while then crush everyone. I've yet to see any turtler win.

turtle = FAIL you don't get enough res to build a defence because your units never went out of base. Whereas your opponents have 4X the res and can build as big army as they want.

Yes I am a turtle but I rush on to get my resources as fast I can get to. I wait for the moment (usually the person attack me then launch a counter attack. Or play a weak base mimic game and surprised the enemy that he think that I got a weak base and I send my powerful forces.

I like to turtle, but not in the true sense. It's more like the movement of lava, slow and ever expanding.

Of the 4 major playing styles, I prefer the "techer" myself.

I find that it equates to a 4-sided rock-paper-scissors result:

Rushers beat Techers
Techers beat Turtlers
Turtlers beat Expanders
Expanders beat Rushers


With the cross-section (rushers vs turtlers and techers vs Expanders) leading to very interesting games.



Please note: there are no real "hybrid" strategies here; either you are one, or you aren't. If you are "a rusher who likes to expand", then you are an Expander, not a rusher. I.E. a true Rush is all (or all save for the amount you use to research a new level of MG damage) of your resources dedicated to making as large of an assault force as quickly as possible and heading straight to an opponent. Nothing less counts .


Also note: these strats generally refer to the first 5-15 minutes only. After that, of course, everyone is making units to attack with .
