"ping lobby.wz2100.net" gives me 78.47.27.67
but why do you need that information?

Re: What is the IP address of the lobby server
You do not need a IP if you like to play via the lobby server. Simply click onto the "lobby" and look if a game is available.

Re: What is the IP address of the lobby server
I will add a 'No games are available' message soon, so people can actually know it is working ok, instead of getting a empty screen.
Then one day, we will have more stats available...

What's the difference between a public ip address and a private ip address? Does it work like this?: Websites like Google can see your public ip address but not your private ip address?

computer's IP -> cable/dsl modem -> outside IP ->the whole internet can see who you are.antibuity wrote:What's the difference between a public ip address and a private ip address? Does it work like this?: Websites like Google can see your public ip address but not your private ip address?
If you have a LAN, then it is like computer(s) IP <->router-> cable/dsl modem ->outside IP.
I am not sure what this has to do with the lobby server though, since once you connect to that, it sees the "outside" IP, then does some NAT on the router (if you have one) and then to your computer.
and it ends here.
