I've founded a site which you can download the ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK of the Warzone 2100

There's all the three songs of this brilliant game:

Its a good thing we got the liscense or whatever that allows us to get the music now... so i can legally use the music i downloaded 3 or 4 years ago

BTW, if u can get the Command and Conquer Red Alert Soundtrack (don't post it here, i'm just suggesting you find it for your own use), it sounds pretty awsome when you're playing WZ...

Where is the notice that these files are GPL and where is the copy of the GPL license text you must redistribute with the files?
Btw, the soundtrack is already as OGG/Vorbis available in our Trunk and they will be included with the next release.

But take the licensing serious, otherwise i'll remove the links.

I did not posted these songs, i've only founded the link to download these files, and they are in MP3 format when i had downloaded

Maybe someone got the copy of the GPL license of this songs and posted it in this site, but i don't know who posted these files.

It's a torrent site, but in the "Description" section, it shows where you can download the soundtrack.

That doesn't change the fact that you have to notice the receiver of a copy about the license terms.

So, you can create a own package, like a zip file, including the GPL text and maybe also the updated readme and distribute it however you like under the terms of the GPLv2. However, the files are already available as ogg so that you can playback them ingame. And they will included in the next release or as an additional package.

And this site doesn't even inform about the license.

So i may put these files in a .ZIP folder containing a GPL License file made by me but...

...and the author's permission? Should i need to get his permission?

Including the GPL in the archive or notice the user about the license terms should satisfy the licensing terms.
Including the the readme is maybe a good idea to "proof" (you can't really proof it...) that the files has been released under the GPL.

Exactly. MP3 playback was removed somewhen during early 2.1 development.

It was removed in 2.0.7, see ChangeLog for 2.0.7.
