Map editor
I Just got the warzone map editor and when I go to start a new map it first says "error reading IMD" then it will say "error processing data set". Why is it doing this?

Re: Map editor
I have the same problem. Loading saved projects works very well, but beginning a new one causes the error. I did follow the link you told us, but I did not find the tip how to solve the problem. Help please! Edit: I have played around with that file path dialog box and set the paths again and again as shown in most examples and help pages and how I think it should be, but nothing helped.

Re: Map editor
i bet if you re-check and look in the root of the beta editor 32 bit folder - you will discover the .LND there... as i keep saying - you need to look at the final pictures in the tutorials... it covers all the steps you need to do.
also i will have another look and see if there is someother way i can assist you - without actually climbing into an fast jet and coming there... xD ...

I have solved the problem. When the Editor asks for the .eds file, it is important not to take the .eds from the directory the Editor opens itself. Instead go into the Samples folder and choose the .eds file from that location.

exactly... i may have forgotten that one... will have to go in and see...
also here is what i have so far.
when in the editor - press the SD button a dialog box will pop up with the following items in it.
project directory = C:\Beta World Editor 32 bit -128 by128 -png Beta
dataset directory = C:\Beta World Editor 32 bit -128 by128 -png Beta\DATA
height map directory = C:\Beta World Editor 32 bit -128 by128 -png Beta\SAMPLES
edge brush directory = C:\Beta World Editor 32 bit -128 by128 -png Beta\SAMPLES
tile type directory = C:\Beta World Editor 32 bit -128 by128 -png Beta\SAMPLES
save final map directory = C:\Beta World Editor 32 bit -128 by128 -png Beta\Newmaps
also make sure to press the set button before pressing ok button.
now when saving your [mapname].LND file - make sure to place it in the SAMPLES folder. failure to do this will place the [mapname].LND file in the root of the editor ie: where the editor.exe resides...
and you will be getting errors.
any other questions - ask.
and if you do happen to look under the tutorials -
you will see i did not forget to add that bit... see here -> http://docs.wz2100.net/map%20tutorials/ ... w_map.html <- and scoll to the third picture and read ALL of the text on that one ( actually read the whole tutorial - is easier
