cb tower?
Re: cb tower?
CB stands for "Counter Battery".
it detects any incoming indirect fire weapons and calculates where the shot came from and targets the unit or structure that shot it.
any units or structure defenses that you have will fire upon the shooter. the vtol version will send any vtols assigned to the tower to attack the shooter.
the big benifit here is that units can be targeted outside the range of the tower. entirely across the map even. all it needs is a shell to fly within the range of the radar and the fireing unit/structure will be targeted.
it's essentially the key to declawing defenses.

Re: cb tower?
what about the vtol strike tower.... how dose that work?
Re: cb tower?
that works simular to the standard sensor module.
basicly any enemy unit in range gets targeted. any thing targeted gets all the units assigned to the sensor to fire at it. keep in mind it targets the closest unit as well, so you get concentrated fire on that particular unit. this may, or may not, be benifitial to you.
the very expensive green radar is all the sensor types combined... very handy.
also, standard, and strike sensor modules on a unit do not auto target, only the towers do that. you assign a target like you would any weapon equiped unit. the units with these sensors can provide targeting information dispite the units assigned to it's line of site. basicly that means artillery will fire over walls to hit a target assigned by the sensor equiped unit.
CB turrets on a unit work the same as towers.

Re: cb tower?
ok... here it is "
AGAIN
" --- if your wanting to really know warzone 2100 - go here and read the manual... http://docs.wz2100.net/
it is part of the documents project ( 6 plus years of gathering information - which by the way is still good. maybe not current but gives you all you need.)

Re: cb tower?
ya hmm.... well the "green sensor" wide spectrum turret/tower has not all sensor types.ouch wrote:that works simular to the standard sensor module.

it has not a vtol strike. towers are for artillery emplacments and turrets are for artillery units.
Re: cb tower?
This is not true, at least for 2.0.10 (just tested it XD). VTOLs assigned to the Wide Spectrum Tower will attack enemy units and structures within radar range.Delphinio wrote:ya hmm.... well the "green sensor" wide spectrum turret/tower has not all sensor types.

Re: cb tower?
Maybe someone with a greater knowledge then me,
wants to create a wiki page about all the different radar technology's,
since they are a bit confusing.

We all have the same heaven, but not the same horizon.
Re: cb tower?
ok maybe... i didnt tested it in 2.x ^^. but i know that it dont work in 1.x versions.Kreuvf wrote:This is not true, at least for 2.0.10 (just tested itDelphinio wrote:ya hmm.... well the "green sensor" wide spectrum turret/tower has not all sensor types.
