Post by bruudwin »

since i was a child i have played warzone 2100 on playstation
and now i have it downloaded off some random cheap website i suppose off a website.
just registered less then 1 minute ago.
saying hello to the community
and one question
if anyone can submit or reply to this post.
about any buyable warzone 2100 pc games
such as at game stop or best buy circuit city etc...
(oh yeah i also do not buy off the internet... only at stores so if you can help me out thank you :) and perferably within SW usa.
i checked gamestop website earlier... apparently the thing isnt there.

OH AND ONE BIG LAST THING
since this is a website about the modification and continuing of warzone 2100. suppose i could download it with playable videos?
current warzone 2100 on pc has videos with words. no pictures no sound. just words...
because i have no clue which one to download if i choose 2. hopefully its safe :D

Can I play the cut-scenes/Full Motion Videos from the CDs?

No.

Neither the videos themselves nor the source code for the RPL player were released with Warzone under the GPL. So we can neither distribute the videos nor play the files from the CD.

I do not represent this community, but welcome  :D  It's always good to have old-time Warzone lovers join the community :)

You will be hard-pressed to find the game via any retail outlet, whether it be bargain bins or otherwise (e-bay might be a good bet).  The game was discontinued many years ago, now.

You can download the game from this site and others.  However, you will not be able to view the videos on any other than the Retail versions because of questions about licensing...
The best thing to do when your philosophies don't stand up to debate is to lock the thread and claim victory.
