Some bugs

Post by Tucalipe »

  • I've been testing the 2.1?2 for 24h and I've found the following:

    Gameplay
    • The pathfinding is bad... When my units find a wall, they just keep trying to run over it...
    • I think the command turret's ranking is growing too fast... In the first mission I got it, he's already Veteran with only 160 kills...
    • My commander and it's units have the "Retreat at Heavy Damage" option on. But when the commander's units (not itself) go to the repair facility, sometimes they just stand there, off the facility's range, and blocks prevents other units' repairs. This also happens when I just send any unit for repair
    • When I restart the game, Fog of War option is reset to Full Fog

    Engine
    • The sound sometimes stutter, like, I don't hear the Command Turret's fire sound
    • Some times the mp3 music stops playing, and I have to hit esc twice to resume it
    • However, sometimes the music overlaps itself, and I end listening to one music over the other.
    • Sometimes I can't click the radar blips (like the green "Landing Zone", or the blue "Oil Resource"). The cursor never changes to the pointer.
    • After about 10min of ininterrupt play, some sounds get "stuck", I send a wheeled vehicled somewhere and I still can hear it's engine for about 1 minute after it has stopped.
    • Sometimes I can hear shots and hits but when I'm not focusing the action. Example: I'm at the Alpha Base, but I can still hear my units fighting NP near the canynon that leads to the east. This also happens with the "truck building" hum

Generaly the best place for bug reports is the bug tracker. Best you look through the list if your problems are already in it, and add a new report otherwise.
This way we will not forget the bugreports and you will know when they are fixed. (Or can bug us more when we do not fix it. ;) )
Bugs reported on the forums generally tend to vanish in the masses.

Also, why some Ip's are blocked, despite they being Dinamic IP's?

Anyway, done it by hiding my ip... sorry...

Oh, they got you blocked also?  Yeah, I just love GNA.  >:(

They seem to block IP ranges, since I also have dynamic, and have changed, but still no good.

The reason they say, is they want to block spammers, and at one point in time, another person using the IP range that your allocated was either a spammer, or had a zombie, and it got put on a list someplace.

How did you hide your IP?  Did you use something like tor?

Back to the issue at hand, how could you play mp3 files?  2.1 don't got support for mp3s.

The sound & AI issues are known.
and it ends here.
