Bugs that need to be fixed before 2.1 thread

Please take a look at http://wiki.wz2100.net/Audit_tasks and see if
  • your least favourite bug is in the list; if not, add it, suggest it below, or report it at gna
  • you can help out by trying to confirm or not confirm any of the bugs listed in the first list
  • if you know how to program, help trying to fix the confirmed bugs
then we can sooner get to 2.1! Yes, we are getting closer now.

maybe you know it already but if not... this will fix the scorpion bug (wheels and vtols).
i searched for this bug today and found it ^^.

EDIT: wheels was to big sry... now its right.

The whole Multiplayer desync issue, units 'spontaneously' dying because of it and all the other gameplay impact it has :)

Can you reproduce desync in the latest svn trunk version? We have done a lot of improvements here the last few days. If you can, please let us know how you can reproduce it so we can fix it.

I'm but a mere windows n00b. The problem is in 2.0.10 and might already be solved but unless given very exact descriptions on how to compile the latest build I can't test really test it myself.

i searched for this bug today and found it ^^.
Is the attached file tested and working? I wanted this bug to be fixed for a long time! ;D

afaik this was fixed along time ago in the trunk version.

Also there used to be quite an annoying bug that occurred when certain vtols were asigned to a vtol strike tower under the pre-source warzone, it's quite an obscure bug so it might not have been fixed ill have to check the change logs and see if i can replicate it.

Maybe that wasn't clear, 2.1 is not the same as 2.0.10.
2.1 is NOT 2.1~ either (thanks ubuntu :P)

2.1 is what is now known as the trunk.  I believe there are snapshots floating around in some thread, and soon, the release candidate will pop up, and then we can all test the same version. :)


Now, continue on testing 2.1:)  [That is, those of you that can compile (instructions ARE on the wiki! Or the ones that find the correct thread nightly/weekly builds of the current trunk]

not sureif you would call it a "bug" as such, but the scourge + avenger/vindicator sam missiles can go through mountains when tracking vtol.
(i know they are armour piercing, but seriously)

oh, and audio settings (voice,SFX,music) arent saving when you change um in game.

VTOL rearming pads, or, more precisely, their upper texture layers with the H on them, arent displaying correctly when you zoom out. You can see them only if you are really close to them. I think this bug came out in 2.0.8 though, 2.0.7 hadnt got it.

oh, and audio settings (voice,SFX,music) arent saving when you change um in game.
:o thats why i always have to adjust audio settings everytime i play.

That is a 'feature' :)  That is also in the original game, and it happens with more weapons than those.

As for saving the audio settings... that should be easy enough to fix.

I have some difficulty seeing exactly what you have changed and what the problem was. Could you explain, please?

I tested this in game, then quit out of game, and started it up again, and the settings were saved.

Guess it is already fixed. :)

its right in warzone.wz,  but not in mp.wz.

i have this too and i have a simple solution: hit ESC then hit it again the sounds will return :)
