Reality

I think the game should have a second resource and not just power. Power only runs the machinery, but there is no indicated resource for building material.
For example, in Starcraft, there is Vespene Gas and Crystals.

In my opinion, Warzone should only have "power" as resource. Speaking about the game, Warzone is more tactical-focused and resource managing shouldnt be an important part of the game. In Warzone you are never idle, you always have something to do, imagine if you had to manage another type of resource. Talking about realism, i think it is more realistic to leave everything as-is because your trucks can find enough building material around them, just look at all those ruins you find in the maps.

star craft... hill-billy sci-fi version of C&C lol
i hate that game... and its exhaustible resources. attrition is such a boring tactic.¬_¬
+ if we add mineral resources to the power, its just copying from other games.
not to mention, that its going the route of total annihilation, with its metal and energy.

i'd agree -- power is the only "need now" resource -- after a nuclear winter and the corresponding depopulation of the planet, there's more than enough servicable scrap that it would be available "for free".

I always viewed it as this. In the future replicator technology like in Star Trek was invented... so to run this new technology (which is how trucks works by basically replicated parts of a structure from the bottom up... and factories just replicate the parts they need) So how much power you have is a major requirement. As well as individual units having replicators for their ammo requirements (which is why some units take longer to reload then others since IRL cannons of different sizes take the same amount of time to reload but Warzone larger cannons take longer and at one point they are the same speed Light and medium cannon when everything is researched)

Then again we are talking about a game that tried to put more focus on the tanks you can design and build the anything else... I want to put a heavy cannon inside a pill box like the raiders do
