Even if PSX used version 1.0, AI could kick your ass quite easely. Thats because your only weapon was a joypad, only lucky players had a psx mouse ;D
* Really... that's difficult to concieve.
* I played the PSX version but I was all into the "Drive" feature & didn't pay attention to the a.i.
* On the PC however, after playing thru the thoroughly enjoyable Campaign, my first focus was on the Skirmish a.i.
* The very first thing I noticed was that it DIDNOT cheat via map omnicience (like StarCraft, for example) & I wrote about it.
* And so began a wonderful & extended conversation with Alex Lee the author of the ski a.i. & Pumpkin's resident ai guru.
* These exchanges led to Pumpkin's toughest a.i. v.1.04 and eventually the handicapping schema & GUI introduced in v.1.05 which everyone takes for granted as being there from day one.... nope... we worked on it for months after retail release.
* What I would recommend for RW & his bro is to play on an 8-player map, set the ai difficulty sliders all the way to the left, start at T1 AND Ally themselves with some of the a.i.s & play coop against the remainder.... There's NO way they can loose.....and have a blast playing.
