I bought Dragon Age TWICE in 2009 for two friends for $49.99 a pop for the holidays ... and now they're giving it away.

Argh.

And yes, it works with WINE .. with special configuration tweakage. If memory serves, the official WINE page here should have most of the information concerning what users would need to know.

So that’s great they give you a free game but they want your email address and you must create an account...That's not free that is paying for it with your time spent deleting spam emails later on.
Warzone don’t ask for anything it is truly free not like this one.

I don't remember getting spam email from Origin, but of course you need to make an account there, and those free promos are there to make more people use Origin and buy other stuff there, similar to how Valve has e.g. Dota 2 and Team Fortress 2 free on Steam. Dragon Age has a bunch of DLC (not sure if the base Dragon Age is complete without it, or if it's a case of "Hey, you bought our game! How nice of you! What, you want the complete story? Give us more money!"), and a sequel coming out.
