Unbinding F Key mappings

Is there a particular reason that you cannot alter the key bindings for the F keys? I ask this because Mac keyboard layout needs to be changed for F key to work like windows. Also for me I would like to change the bindings anyway as I like to experiment in this area to make for faster micromanagement.

Just a suggestion: you can use a software named "palua" (you can find it in the app-store/iTunes) with it you can pre-define for every program/app on your mac the way to use your mac keyboard with either F-keys or mediakeys. It's quite easy and works from 10.6 upwards.

I myself run warzone 3.1.1 with an 27" iMac late 2013 with Mavericks (10.9.1) and an NVIDIA GeForce GT 755M 1024 MB with 2560x1440 and it runs very smooth with no troubles at all so far and I can use Palua for almost every software especially games (excluding wineskin-programs)
