Hello to all.
I have downloaded latest version of War zone 2100 into my Ubuntu 12 PC.
It is a "tar" file type. I have extracted the files but do not know how to install
with Ubuntu. Can anyone help?

When you run Warzone for the first time, the following directory is created:
~/.warzone2100-3.1
It stores such things as log files, maps, screenshots, and player rank files. There will be a number of different directories, for maps:
~/.warzone2100-3.1/maps
You can get tested and approved maps from: http://addons.wz2100.net
