how do you make in-game menus bigger

Version 3.1 is great and I finally figured out how to make it fullscreen like it normally is by adding "--fullscreen" to shortcut. But the in-game menus, like the command buttons and research icons/pics are very small. I have tried every setting i can think of but can't make them bigger. Is there a setting to change that?????

Not really, the sizes are all hard-coded as far as I can tell.

There are some ideas to overhaul the user interface code, but it's going to be quite some time before it happens.

Correct, all menus are fixed in size, there is no easy way to make them bigger at this time.

It's very easy to make all the in-game menus bigger:

Pick a smaller resolution, the smaller the resolution, the bigger the menus, just start going lower until you find an acceptable balance, you'll see.
