I have noticed that several people have started commenting on my commits on Github. For pointing out mistakes that I need to fix, that is fine. For opening discussions, that is not fine at all. This forum is where discussions should take place, where everyone can participate, and developers can answer questions (hopefully) once, rather than once for each person who wants an answer, in private. It is for the same reason I have disabled the ability to send me private forum messages, and I strongly dislike private messages on IRC. Unless it is of a private nature, please take the discussion in public.
