Make a RC of 2.0.8 plz

please make a release candidate version for 2.0.8, because previouse two versions didnt have it (2.0.6,2.0.7) It was so nice wheb were rc befor "final cut" :)

(Nightly build - isn't that what I meen)

The idea is not bad...
Since apparently no one of the devs can (or wants to) debug that problem, I will create an RC and say: If you want a final 2.0.8, help us fix that bug (and the no-sound bug Christian reported).

RC is not so bad, and maybe include some stuff from the nightly builds as well, I liked some of the changes and disliked one in particular.

I think no need to do that. Just 2.0.8 rc nothing more ( I dont like innovations like multy-turrents & buggy pathfinding system)

I don't seem to remember what this feature was...  Care to elaborate?  ;)

* They called it "Transformations", for example - you wouldn't have to re-build your HP weaps to reflect your current researched more advanced weap - your "Nano Engineers" retro-fitted the weap upgrades into the existing HP. Tearing down your weap structs & rebuilding from the ground-up to be able to mount a more advanced weap on said HP seems - well pick your adjective.

* We had a talk on it back at rts.net shortly after the source was liberated & actually pinpointed the Patch it was introduced in and the subsequent Patch that deactivated the feature. The thread should still be at the bbs.

wz2100 2.0.8 RC1_update - doesnt apply to 2.0.7 correctly. main exe file - not upgrates :(

but full 2.0.8 seems ok

Thanks for testing.
I thought downloaded the 2.0.7 installer to create the update. Will check again.

EDIT: I just downloaded the 2.0.7 installer again, as well as the update and it worked fine.

Currently I can only say: Should not happen (tm)...
No idea what may have caused this. Maybe a 2nd running instance of WZ? Some other program using port 9999?

PS: All the files are still work-in-progress and may differ from the final files! I expect to release 2.0.8 this week, so there is not much sense for anyone who doesn't want to help testing to download the preliminary files...

this error shows whrn I press on Lobby(in joingame menu) but when I press IP(& leave empty address) I connect to lobby ok like it was in 2.0.7

Seems lobby option doesn't make a connection as IP makes. Or talking stupid thoughts. :D

Could you (or someone else who has been around the Warzone thing for ... ever), please tell us relative newcomers a bit about what Pumpkin said publicly about where they wanted to take the game in future? I have found lots of interesting and tantalizing bits of unfinished code in the source that I have wondered whether I should try to finish, but I have not known whether it was code that Pumpkin abandoned because it was a bad idea (they never deleted code, eh), or things they did not finish before being shut down.

One thing I am pretty sure they wanted to add is ECM, turrets doing the opposite of sensors, which would add invisibility to the game. Once we get done with the basic code cleanup, I really want to finish the implementation of this.

I'll investigate... (https://gna.org/bugs/?10184) Won't make it into 2.0.8_rc1, I think...
