Wow... awesome work ;)

IMHO, "Double Tracks" (Heavy bodies) shouldn't be the same in front and rear...
How about this?:

The left one is the rear track
Maybe I should remove my location o_O

But it doesn't make sense, as the front part needs to be more armored than the rear. And the front part needs to be different than that due to terrain adaptability needs. Here's a pic on what I'm talking about:

Windows in the bodies doesn't make sense either xD

Now, you're right about the tracks... I didn't know that, but I'm still thinking in make 2 different tracks for heavy bodies ^^

Hmm, maybe making the middle part (between the front and rear tracks) with partial armour could help meking them look different.

Actually, on my New propulsions topic, I was thinking about making them 1-piece :rolleyes:

the problem in that statement is in the sloped configuration the tracks Are more heavily armoured by the chasiss on top of it
Return to your designated zone or be destroyed. You are in contravention of the new paradigm.

On what situation? Actually, there is still no proper model for the ideas talked about more recently. I would appreciate an intuitive scheme on your idea, I couldn't get it (and I do want to understand every proposition :D )

Here's the render with the bunkers I've "promised" before!

Is anybody eager for some enemy units? :rolleyes:

Hi Orlox,

Im currently making a research tree editor (that is starting to become a wz editor), that has a section to modify the research tree tech images,

viewtopic.php?f=6&t=3596

Sso I would like to request you a render of the bodies / weapons / tracks / building you have in a 64x64 size in order to include them on the editor, also could you make the research attached symbols in separate files, (the blue cross, ammo image, little blast, mini bunker and all those)

If you have some spare time that is, so on the editor you only need to pick from a list of images the one you want and not deal with those horrid game pie names.

thanks.

Ok, going straight to the point - AR is still under (slow) development. Me and MaNGust are going to have as much of the work as we can done, during the coming summer vacations. I have little spare time right now, your request wouldn't take too much, but the models are going to.

What you can do right now:
Ask Mangust for permission to use whatever models he has already done;
Make a table using the scheme in the attachment;
Explain exctly what kind of render you want (with effects or not, what background, isometrical, what teamcolor etc.).

What I can do right now:
Make some of the models you need whenever I've got spare time;
Think about nice effects I can use on the icons.

;)

I can do that, but it'll take quite some time due to the large quantity of models ingame. :3

uhh.. cool, support... thanks.

Actually I need separate files for each thing, I will build the final image myself on the tool.
lancerhardpoint.gif
#1 Files for the left upper icon, separete files for each of the icons, you can remake these yourself if you want or just extract them from the page files of the game images, in a transparent background format, namely .png/.gif (.png best)

#2 Files for the right upper icon, same as above.

#3 the research icon, so here most of the time would only be the turret itself, but there are some things as, hardpoints, which are the wall + turret, or the buildings modules, which are sections of the building that have to be done separately, you can use any background either color / image or transparent you want but, it must be the same all across so, if at any point in the future you decide to change a background, i would request you to change them all.

The research icons should be in the 3/4 view that looks kind of the same as the current researches, so it can be easily identified. As for team color, well... i think that yellow should be the best since the standard research images also come in yellow, at least on the warzone guide here on the page, so, lets keep them the same.

Thanks a lot.

Oh, I thought you wanted individual image files.

I guess you could improve your tool adding a meaning to the background. The color dictates the type of the research...
Ah, I'll send a pm with my idea when I'm less lazy than now :P

Anyway, this would be off-topic, and making off-topic posts in my own topic would be a very weird thing xD

oh you can just go to my topic and post your off topic in my topic.... way too many topics there... xD

About the background it would be interesting, I already have a classification in the tool already, maybe you should try it yourself and let me know what you think.

Ok no more about this on this topic... :3

Ok, but keep on mind that it'll take some time: I'll have to model the ripple rockets turret, learn more about particle effects and set the environment up. And that comes after day 15, because I'll have classes until then. :(

Hmm, I've rendered some firing effects today - I've learned doing that today, actually, so please take it easy on me :P
But here it is - A HPV Cannon Viper Tracks using models made for AR (those are not final versions yet), with simple normal bump and specular maps.
Since we're probably going to remake the effects as well, I'm starting to practice that right now to be able to make some good things later on :P

I've also dared to try to set-up a fake environment. I'm not completely satisfied with it yet :ninja:

Hope you like it. Image is licensed under CC-0 - anyone can use it for or do whatever they want with it :)
