Re: Still Alive
in regards to that site - yes it was just recently ( when notified by black sabbath ) that i was trying to keep the site under control and pretty much ass**** free ( some still try to this day ). have tried numerous times to get a backup of the entire site but for some reason it always is corrupted the last few mb's. for what reason i dont know. if someone could do a complete copy of the site ( all the folders and what nots ) i would like a copy so as to preserve it in my archives. please. i dont haave access to the ftp side of the site. perhaps kevin or blacksabbath have it...

The db-dump contained quite some sensitive user data. Thats something which doesn't belong to the public.

not from this site. and the data that is sensitive ie: users id's etc - will be treated with the same cautions as here - not disclosed for any reasons.Kamaze wrote:The db-dump contained quite some sensitive user data. Thats something which doesn't belong to the public.

Re: Still Alive
That doesn't really matter for me. I cannot endorse a public accessible dump, containing the full user table (unsalted password hashes, e-mail addresses...) and private messages.lav_coyote25 wrote:not from this site.

Kamaze is right - I'm hitting myself for not thinking of this before.Kamaze wrote: That doesn't really matter for me. I cannot endorse a public accessible dump, containing the full user table (unsalted password hashes, e-mail addresses...) and private messages.

And ick, unsalted password hashes? I'd expect better of phpBB 2.

Re: Still Alive
Wow... talk about back from the dead!
How ya been man? Been a long time... like years. I hope you stick around a bit more now.
Anyway, I've kinda dropped off the radar due to real life and other reasons. But I'll try to start frequenting a bit more. Looks like a lot of people are starting to come out of the woodwork.
Another thing, Blacksabbath, Kevin was wanting to back up that data, and wanted to know the FTP info. I have a mysql dump from rts.net (that coyote passed along to me), but it dates back a year or two. Do you have any way to recover the FTP info for that site? All you should need to do is nag your ISP to reset the username/password.
I personally would like to get the most recent SQL dump, the exact version of the fourm software you were using, and upload an archive forum (just like the P-2 fourms, see http://pumpkin-2.directgames.net ) I (of course) would do the same as for what I did with the old pumpkin-2 boards, lock most everything down, only allowing posting in a new section.

Re: Still Alive
I do have information for direct sql access, and occasionally use that to download a backup of the database, but I haven't logged in to the admin site or ftp in ages, so I don't remember that or where it's written down :/
I still hang around the irc channel and will respond to highlights, but I don't check the site as often as I should.
