NO Commanders in Manufacture

Hello Everybody,

I am having an issue at level 5. I have not played in a while and started over to remember tactics. This issue is new, as it worked before.

I have designed new vehicles, including commander, but they do not show up in Manufacture. I have deleted the game and reinstalled, same issue. I have deleted the game and run a registry cleaner and reinstalled, same issue. I am using the latest version, as I downloaded the installer just the other day.

Any ideas?

Do you have Command Relay Center building?

Yes. As I said, I have been up to level 11 or 12, I forget which, and this did not happen then, but it is happening now. I actually did all the research and designing in Level 4, and when I saw this issue, went back to level 4 and then waited till level 5 to see if it made a difference. It did not.

Thanks for the suggestion though.

I have one more possibility in mind which still wouldn't be a bug. ;-)
If you design commander to use heavy body and the try to build it in factory without modules it won't show up.

If this is not the case then fill bug report.

Update, I designed the Commander with wheels and Viper body in yet another test. I then tried to design some weapons vehicles, and they don't show up in manufacture. I guess I need to amend the subject to being Cobra and Half tracks don't show up in manufacture, after design.

appropriatemisbehavn, do you have modules built for your factories (F2 and F3)?

At the end of the saved level 5 that I sent, all research that is available is completed.

oh wait, I think I know what you are talking about, and no, I have not added the second and third modules to the factories yet, I will give that a try. Thanks.

I've done that too and almost got to the point of creating a bug ticket before realising. We've all been there heh.

Maybe a future version of the game could give some warning that certain units need extra modules on factory, or a CRC or whatever other requirement there is, so that player knows what to do next.

If players who are familiar with the game forget on occasion, imagine what it's like for people who are just starting out with the game for the first time...

I think that maybe emphasis should be put on reading the guides. I think that is where I first learned about it. Or maybe in the help file.

Make unavailable designs grayed out and give hint in tooltip.
