Mac OS Lion

Post by Chrissyguit »

I'm having trouble installing maps on my MacBook. This is running OS Lion; 10.7.3 and Warzone 2.3.9 runs perfectly.

The instructions say to install the file into 'library/application support/warzone 2100 2.3/maps' ensuring it is a .wz file.

However, this folder does not exist anywhere in my system, and simply creating the folder does not work. Sometimes the map files do come up with a further extension; .wz.cpgz

Any solutions?

Many thanks.

Actually they say to use ~/Library/Application Support/Warzone 2100 2.3/maps/ the '~' means your home folder, also in 10.7 the Library folder is hidden so you will want the 'Go to Folder' command under the 'Go' menu.

As for the issue with the extensions just deleting the extraneous cruft should be enough.

Is it worth updating the file locations wiki page (I'm not sure who has access to change it)?

From what I can tell except for the note about Library being hidden on 10.7+ FileLocations seems to be entirely correct.
