Multiplayer ranking bug

Hi there!

I play little, and test game and i saw that bug in ranking.

You can earn medals and stars, just playing with bots if you host in HOST GAME OPTION.

I do not know if it is possible to correct this mistake, but it's wrong that some might raise their rank in the game playing with bots.

It's not a bug, it's more of a "feature", but I agree with what you are saying...

I play lots of single-player skirmish games against AIs and have really good rankings as a result (I can turtle against them so well now that I lose almost no units and then destroy all of their bases with 100+ VTOL attacks). Yet, if I went and played a multiplayer game against humans, I would be wiped off the map within the first 10 minutes because I'm actually not very good at the game.

It would be better if the Medal and bottom star (anything to do with games won) improved only when playing multiplayer games that involve other human players.

I dont think so, just the fact that you know the tech tree enough, you are aware of the design system and the module change... unless you played vs very easy AI to get more rank.

Anyway there is a lot lot LOT more way to try to make those rank say you are a super hero. After all, it's just the best way to end teamed with noobs once you join a game. Cheating that rank is useless...

I still don't think the rank should get increased in single player skirmish games though, as it is meaningless when you then go to multiplayer games. The battles won metric should only be counted on proper MP games where there is at least 1 human enemy opponent.

Without central storage those ranks are mostly meaningless anyway.
Personally I think that lobby login should be redone in such way that it would allow to store this data on server and login would be required only for lobby games (also there could be later lobby "API" which would allow to setup custom ones, without using forum database).
