ill try, but i think i m gonna wait till 2.1, cuz of that Multi-turret thingy!, after all, i have old warzone, and besides that, the old is better for single play. 2.1 will change that!

This makes no sense to me at all.  Warzone was built on pre-200MHz machines, and designed to run on cards with less than 8MB of memory.  You all have added shadows, and redesigned Warzone's internals to run on linux..  What could you have possibly done to cause it to run so slow?

OpenGL is probably the reason. Riva TNT2 cards only support OpenGL 1.1 in hardware. Now the OpenGL standard requires drivers to fall back to software if a feature is not supported in hardware---which is slow, very slow. Therefore if Warzone uses any feature from OpenGL 1.2 it could cause framerate issues.

OpenAL may also reduce performance slightly, especially if the effects are being done in software.

hmmm........... well, as soon as my mom get the mac connected to the internet, im gonna get this comp, and then i can put my GOOD video card in, its an NVIDIA GeForce something, i think either a 2 or a 4. yeah. and ill have a standalone system drive, a standalone 200 Gig game and app drive, and a standalone drive that will be dedicated as VRAM... wow
